When will the festival return?

We plan to host the 80th National Folk Festival the weekend after Labor Day, in 2021, September 10-12.

Where will the festival be held in 2021?

The festival will be held in its regular location, downtown Salisbury, Maryland.

Will the artists who are confirmed for 2020 perform in 2021?

We will be communicating with artists who have been confirmed for 2020 about participation in the 80th National Folk Festival scheduled for 2021. This depends in part on each artists’ availability.

What will happen with the sponsors for the 80th National Folk Festival?

While the event in 2020 has been cancelled, we are planning for the 80th National Folk Festival in 2021. Festival leadership will work with each sponsor directly about their interest/ability to support the event in 2021. If you have any questions about your festival sponsorship/support, please contact Caroline O'Hare at cohare@salisbury.md.

I am a food vendor and applied for the festival in 2020. What happens now?

Food vendor applications will be rolled over to next year’s festival. In December, the Food Vendor coordinator will reach out to you to see if you still wish to participate and and you will not need to reapply or pay an additional application fee to be a vendor in 2021. Your $35.00 application fee has covered the cost of the online application program, Slideroom, and unfortunately cannot be returned. Vendor selection and notification will be made in March / April 2021 and vendor contracts will be sent at that time. A revised vendor timeline & guidelines will be worked out at later date. If you would like to discuss this matter further in the short term, please email Caroline O'Hare at cohare@salisbury.md.

I have volunteered at the festival in the past. Is there something I can do this year to help?

Yes! We are incredibly proud of our volunteers and all they do to help our community. Along with our partners at the United Way GetConnected Online Volunteer Center, we encourage you to volunteer throughout the region year-round. Plus, we would love for you to wear your past NFF Volunteer shirts when you do volunteer and send photos to our Facebook page so we can share the amazing ways our volunteers make the festival and our community stronger.

We hope to update this page as more information comes in. Please send any questions or topics you would like addressed to: cohare@salisbury.md and we will try to reply with an answer as quickly as possible. Thank you.
